PHILADELPHIA (AP) - Police say a man driving a U-Haul truck going the wrong way down a one-way street crashed into a recently-opened restaurant in Philadelphia.

Surveillance video captured customers running for cover as the truck crashed through the front of Urban Village Brewing Co. Wednesday. Mishel Taylor tells WPVI-TV she ran toward the bar of the restaurant and closed her eyes after she couldn’t go any further. WPVI and WCAU-TV obtained the surveillance video (https://bit.ly/2spBHhl).

Police say the 41-year-old driver has been taken into custody after attempting to flee the scene. He is facing charges of driving under the influence.

The driver was taken to a hospital after complaining of leg pain, but no other injuries were reported.

The restaurant had celebrated its grand opening 3 1/2 weeks ago.
