CASPER, Wyo. (AP) - Police say they ended a six-hour standoff at a home by arresting a man who tried to rob someone.

Nobody was hurt, though the suspect was taken from the scene in an ambulance.

The standoff happened Friday just west of Casper. Natrona County Sheriff’s officials say the suspect fired multiple shots from inside the home, where the unidentified man had retreated to the attic.

The Casper Star-Tribune reports (https://bit.ly/2s4wXBH ) authorities used a loudspeaker to communicate with the man for more than an hour and a half, telling him to come out peacefully.

Others in the home left earlier.

Sheriff’s Sgt. Aaron Shatto declined to say whether the man left the home voluntarily.
