FRESNO, Calif. (AP) - Authorities are searching for a man who fell into the Merced River.

The Fresno Bee reports (https://bit.ly/2rHDAqM ) a man about 6 feet 2 inches tall fell into the river from Yosemite National Park’s Mist Trail on Monday.

He fell into the river about noon.

Authorities ask that anybody with information contact the park’s dispatch line.

He was described as young in age, possibly in his 20s, with a shaved or bald head, blue shirt, red or tan shorts, no backpack, and carrying a hiking pole.
