Donald Trump Jr. fired back at comedian Chelsea Handler on Twitter after she tried to make it clear she’s less than thrilled about his brother’s pregnancy news.

Eric Trump, the middle son of President Trump, announced Monday that he and wife Lara Trump are expecting their first child, a boy, in September.

Ms. Handler, who had pledged to move out of the country if Donald Trump became president, attempted to snark about the family’s genes, but ended up tweeting about an article of clothing instead.

Mr. Trump Jr., the older of President Trump’s two sons, made sure to point out her mistake.

“Jeans??? I guess I’m not at all surprised… but really?!?! #genes,” he wrote.

Eric Trump also jumped in to correct her:

The comedian later apologized for the typo, but not the message: “Sorry about spelling mistake. I meant “genes,” not “jeans.” I’m a little stoned. What’s your excuse?” she wrote.

Mr. Trump Jr. posted a longer response to Ms. Handler later Monday evening.

“The liberal elite’s real hatred is hopefully starting to be apparent in mainstream America,” he wrote. “(both right and left) Their whole ‘party of tolerance’ nonsense only applies if you fully buy into their dogma, and when you don’t their true colors shine.”

The new addition to the Trump family will be President Trump’s ninth grandchild. He took to Twitter Monday afternoon to congratulate the happy couple.
