TOKYO (AP) - Shinzo Koroki scored his league-leading eighth goal of the season on Sunday as Urawa Reds thrashed Albirex Niigata 6-1 to overtake Kashima Antlers in the J-League standings.

Musashi Suzuki opened the scoring for the hosts just two minutes in but the lead didn’t last long as Yuki Muto equalized in the sixth minute and Koroki gave Urawa the lead for good on 20 minutes.

Tomoaki Makino and Takahiro Sekine added goals and an own goal by Albirex’s Romero Frank ensured the visitors of a comfortbale 5-1 lead at the break.

Wataru Endo completed the rout two minutes into the second half as Urawa improved to 22 points, one ahead of Kashima Antlers which lost 2-1 to Vissel Kobe.

In other matches, Cerezo Osaka beat Sanfrecce Hiroshima 5-2 while Kawasaki Frontale defeated Jubilo Iwata 2-1.
