NEW CASTLE, Del. (AP) - New Castle County authorities say they have made an arrest in the abduction and sexual assault of a 4-year-old girl.

County police did not release details on Sunday but said they would be holding a news conference Monday afternoon.

Police were called to a home in the Plum Run neighborhood in Pike Creek, about 10 miles (16 kilometers) west of Wilmington, on the evening of April 6.

Authorities say the girl was playing outside with other children when a man drove up in dark sedan and starting talking with her. The man then lured her into the car and drove off.

A passer-by spotted the girl, who was wearing little clothing, about two hours later at a park about 8 miles (13 kilometers) away.
