MARICOPA, Ariz. (AP) - Maricopa police say the deaths of a couple whose bodies were found in a home apparently are the result of a murder-suicide.

Police Department spokesman Ricardo Alvarado says police were called Sunday after gunshots were heardand that officers found a 69-year-old woman and a 67-year-old man dead from what police said appeared to be gunshot wounds.

Alvarado says police believe it was a murder-suicide relating to the woman’s terminal medical condition and that no one else was involved.
