WESTPORT, Conn. (AP) - Police say they’re investigating after residents in a Connecticut town found white supremacist flyers outside their homes.

Police and town officials in Westport say about a dozen flyers with “disturbing” and “hateful” messages were placed in the area early Sunday.

Officers are working with area police departments and have contacted the Anti-Defamation League to try to identify the source of the flyers.

Police say they don’t believe anyone who received a flyer was specifically targeted.

First Selectman James Marpe says the flyers have no place in Westport.
