A clip of former “Today” show host Katie Couric complaining about Matt Lauer’s wandering hands resurfaced Wednesday after NBC fired Mr. Lauer for inappropriate sexual behavior in the workplace.

During a June 2012 appearance on Bravo’s “Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen,” Ms. Couric, who anchored the “Today” show for 15 years, revealed her former co-host’s most annoying habit.

“He pinches me on the ass a lot,” Ms. Couric said after a brief hesitation.

“Wow, I wouldn’t have a problem with that!” Mr. Cohen joked.

NBC announced Wednesday morning that Mr. Lauer, who worked at the network for more than two decades, had been fired over sexual harassment allegations by an employee.

“On Monday night, we received a detailed complaint from a colleague about inappropriate sexual behavior in the workplace by Matt Lauer,” NBC News Chairman Andy Lack said in a statement. “It represented, after serious review, a clear violation of our company’s standards. As a result, we’ve decided to terminate his employment. While it is the first complaint about his behavior in the over twenty years he’s been at NBC News, we were also presented with reason to believe this may not have been an isolated incident.”
