A 27-year-old model is facing backlash for an Instagram post flirting with 14-year-old “Stranger Things” star Finn Wolfhard.

Ali Michael, a fashion model from Texas, was forced to disable the comments on her verified Instagrampage after she posted, then eventually deleted, an image of Finn, addressed to Finn, that read, “Not to be weird but hit me up in 4 years @finnwolfhardofficial.”

Commenters accused Ms. Michael of being inappropriate and sexualizing a 14-year-old, prompting the model to apologize in another now-deleted post.

“Hi, Yesterday I posted a picture of Mike from Stranger Things and wrote ‘Call me in 4 years,’” Ms. Michael wrote, In Touch Weekly reported. “It was completely and absolutely a joke but I understand that people have been offended by it. It was wrong to joke about and I apologise. I do not want Mike from Stranger Things to call me. I hope this clears things up.”

Finntold TMZ that he thought Ms. Michael’s post was “weird” but that it was good she apologized.

“Oh, that was nuts. That was gross,” he said. “That’s good that she apologized. It was weird.”
