PLAISTOW, N.H. (AP) - A Department of Homeland Security spokesman says a “law enforcement operation” took place in several New Hampshire communities, with the help of local police and some additional federal law enforcement authorities.

Spokesman Shawn Neudauer said Tuesday’s matter concerns an ongoing criminal investigation. No further information was released.

Investigators were seen at certain addresses in Exeter, Plaistow, Londonderry, and Salem, as well as in Haverhill, Massachusetts.

In Plaistow, where numerous state and local police cruisers were on Main Street, Police Capt. Brett Morgan said there was no danger to the community.
