BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) - A Twin Buttes man has been found guilty of molesting three girls, all under the age of 12.

A federal jury convicted 73-year-old Lonnie Dale Spotted Bear on four assault charges Thursday following a three-day trial. The U.S. Attorney’s Office says the abuse of the three girls took place over a five-year period. Prosecutors say Spotted Bear tried to intimidate the girls’ guardians when he learned two of his victims disclosed his assaults.

Sentencing is scheduled Dec. 20 in Bismarck.
