ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. (AP) - An Atlantic City police officer has rescued a man who authorities say was threatening to jump from the 10th floor of a casino parking garage.

Police responded to the scene around 9:15 a.m. Monday and found the 46-year-old man sitting on the ledge of the Caesars garage with his legs dangling.

Sgt. Joseph Falcone soon developed a conversation with the man and spoke with him for almost two hours before he was able to quickly and safely pull him from the ledge.

The man was taken to a hospital for a psychiatric evaluation.
