BENNINGTON, Vt. (AP) - Officials in a Vermont community have approved the purchase of cameras for a local skate park after it experienced an increase in vandalism.

The Bennington Banner reports (https://bit.ly/2hcqsVP ) the North Bennington Trustees were unanimous in support of spending up to $3,600 for the cameras. Highway Superintendent Norm LeBlanc said the funding would cover the installation of three cameras at the Lions Park skate park.

LeBlanc says the park has fallen victim to vandalism recently. In one instance, the suspects were caught; another incident is under investigation.
