MSNBC host Lawrence O’Donnell apologized Wednesday for a leaked video of himself delivering an off-air, expletive-filled tirade directed at his production team.

Mediaite on Wednesday released a more than eight-minute video of the “Last Word” anchor on set, dropping F-bombs left and right because of noises in the studio and troubles with his earpiece.

“Who’s asking for a Labor Day rundown in my ear?! Someone in that control room is out of control,” Mr. O’Donnell said in the video. “You have insanity in my earpiece.”

He then started screaming once he heard the sound of hammering outside the studio.

“Stop the hammering!” he yelled. “Who’s got a hammer?! … I don’t care who you have to f–ing call, stop the hammering!”

“It just f–ing sucks, it f–ing sucks to be out here with this out of control s–,” he said.

Mediaite reported that the incident took place during the Aug. 29 episode of “Last Word.”

Mr. O’Donnell apologized on Twitter Wednesday evening.

“A better anchorman and a better person would’ve had a better reaction to technical difficulties. I’m sorry,” he wrote.
