RENO, Nev. (AP) - A newly released report says an undercover investigator found little to note at several downtown Reno strip clubs but observed grimy conditions, drug use or sex acts taking place at a few others.

City Manager Sabra Newby on Friday released the report prepared by a private investigations firm hired by the city attorney, who refused to release the report under a public records request by the Reno Gazette-Journal newspaper (https://goo.gl/c5LrDC ).

Newby says she ordered the report released for transparency as the City Council considers a proposed ordinance to crack down on the clubs and force them to relocate from downtown.

Attorney Mark Mark Thierman represents several clubs. He accused the private investigator of “exaggerating or lying” about sex acts and said drug use takes place at many bars and businesses.
