WENTZVILLE, Mo. (AP) - Three people have been arrested in an alleged plot to lure a young man into a wooded area of suburban St. Louis, try to get him to confess to a rape, and then rob him at gunpoint.

The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports that Nathan Bennett Meurer and Jared Adam Pinkley, both 17, are charged with first-degree robbery, kidnapping and tampering with physical evidence. Bail for each was set at $50,000, cash only. No attorneys are listed for them in online court records.

A girl also is in juvenile custody. Court papers say she arranged to meet Friday in Wentzville with a man she accused of raping her. Police say Meurer and Pinkley were waiting, and threatened and robbed the man. He says the sexual encounter with the girl was consensual.
