SEATTLE (AP) - Seattle police say they have arrested a 25-year-old man in the death of his roommate in the city’s Wallingford neighborhood last month.

The department said it made the arrest Thursday morning after working with the Washington State Crime Lab and the King County Prosecutor’s Office.

A friend found 38-year-old Lalita Byrnes dead in her home on March 15. The Seattle Times reports that neighbors described her as a pillar of the community who built bonds through her extensive kindness and generosity.

Authorities did not immediately release further information about the case.
