MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) - A Tennessee man who was arrested in Wisconsin has been indicted on first-degree murder charges in the shooting of his wife and another person.

The Shelby County district attorney’s office said Wednesday that 38-year-old Markese Gibbs was extradited last week to Memphis after his arrest in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Investigators said Izeal Jones was found dead on a Memphis street on July 21. Authorities also found the body of Gibbs‘ wife, Natausha Gibbs, on the porch of a nearby house. They both had been shot in the head.

Authorities believe Gibbs shot his wife during an argument, and then killed Jones when he tried to mediate.

Gibbs was arrested the following day in Milwaukee.

Gibbs‘ arraignment is set for Sept. 10. Records do not show if he has a lawyer.
