ANTIOCH, Tenn. (AP) - Police in Tennessee say an Antioch man was handling a gun when he shot and killed his brother.

The Tennessean reports Metro Nashville police say 26-year-old Eric Macias was shot Monday morning and later pronounced dead.

Police say Macias was killed by his 21-year-old brother, who had been handling the semi-automatic pistol. Police say the pistol fired and hit Macias in the chest.

It’s unclear what prompted the gun to fire.
