SEYMOUR, Conn. (AP) - A 30-year-old military veteran has been identified as the victim of a deadly fire at a Connecticut condominium complex.

Seymour Deputy Fire Marshal Timothy Willis tells The Connecticut Post on Wednesday that Sean Ryan Lindsley died following the early morning Dec. 22 blaze at Balance Rock Condominiums in Seymour.

The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner says an autopsy conducted Monday into the cause of Lindsley’s death is inconclusive. Additional tests are being conducted.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation. It was contained to Lindsley’s third-floor unit.

Born in Bridgeport and raised in Seymour and Easton, Lindsley was a corporal in the U.S. Marine Corps. He was honorably discharged in 2013 after five years of service. He’s been employed as a machinist for the past four years.
