Two ABC News reporters joked about what President Trump’s funeral would look like while they covered President George H.W. Bush’s state funeral on Wednesday.

“Probably a different tone in that funeral,” ABC correspondent Terry Moran said of Mr. Trump. “First he’s going to choreograph it, so there might be more trumpets and fanfare.”

“Yes, he would do it bigger, one would imagine,” ABC correspondent Devin Dwyer agreed.

“It will be the best presidential funeral ever,” Mr. Moran added, mocking the president’s grandiose rhetoric. “No one will ever have seen anything like that funeral.”

The exchange started after Mr. Moran argued that Mr. Trump’s election was a “repudiation of much of what George Herbert Walker Bush and George Walker Bush stood for because the people who voted him wanted that repudiation,” The Wrap reported.

The two correspondents joked about Mr. Trump’s future funeral over footage of Bush’s funeral procession on the tarmac of Joint Base Andrews, following his memorial service Wednesday at the Washington National Cathedral.

Bush died late Friday at his home in Houston at age 94.
