BOCA RATON, Fla. (AP) - Ronald Delph scored a career-high 24 points, Justin Massey added 18 with four 3-pointers, and FAU rallied to beat FIU 77-72 on Saturday to end a four-game skid and split the season series with the Golden Panthers.

Gerdarius Troutman scored 17 points with three 3s for the Owls (11-15, 5-9 Conference USA), who were outscored 42-34 in the paint but hit eight 3s to FIU’s three.

After 15 ties and 13 lead changes, Troutman put FAU ahead for good, 72-70, with a 3-pointer with 37 seconds to play. FIU, in the midst of missing three straight shots in the minute, missed again and Delph hit a pair of free throws. Trejon Jacob ended the 3½-minute field goal drought but Troutman made two free throws to push it back to a two-possession game for the win.

Brian Beard Jr. scored 20 points with six assists and four steals and Eric Lockett added 19 points with 11 rebounds for FIU (11-16, 5-9), which has lost three straight.
