WACO, Texas (AP) - Kristy Wallace scored 26 points, Kalani Brown added 20 and No. 3 Baylor beat Kansas 88-51 on Saturday.

Dekeiya Cohen and Lauren Cox both scored 11 for Baylor (25-1, 15-0, Big 12), which shot 51 percent from the floor.

The Lady Bears didn’t commit a turnover until 4:10 remained in the third quarter. They also took advantage of Kansas’ 21 miscues and outscored the Jayhawks 34-3 in points off turnovers.

The Jayhawks (12-14, 2-13) shot 50 percent from the floor in the first half but took only 20 shots. That rate dropped drastically after halftime, when they were 7 for 31 and finished the game at 33 percent.

Christalah Lyons led Kansas with 17 points.

No. 6 TEXAS 77, No. 21 OKLAHOMA STATE 62

STILLWATER, Okla. (AP) - Brooke McCarty scored 17 points to help Texas defeat Oklahoma State.

Ariel Atkins scored 15 points, Jatarie White scored 12 and Joyner Holmes added 10 for the Longhorns, who won their seventh straight. Texas (22-4, 13-2 Big 12) outrebounded the Cowgirls 44-37.

Loryn Goodwin led Oklahoma State with 21 points, but she made just 8 of 23 shots. Kaylee Jensen had 19 points and 12 rebounds, but she made just 5 for 13 shots. The Cowgirls shot just 35 percent overall.

It was a rough week for Oklahoma State (18-8, 9-6). The Cowgirls lost to No. 3 Baylor 87-45 on Tuesday night.


BERKELEY, Calif. (AP) - Asha Thomas scored 25 points and was one of three Cal players to hit a clutch 3-pointer down the stretch as the Golden Bears ended Stanford’s seven-game winning streak.

The Cardinal, down 11 to start the fourth quarter, pulled within 62-60 on a 3-pointer by Alana Smith with 4½ minutes to play. Thomas answered with a 3-pointer for the Golden Bears, who had missed their first six shots of the quarter. After Smith hit a free throw, Mikayla Cowling made a 3 and following a Smith layup, Jaelyn Brown had a 3 to put Cal up 71-63 with 1:29 to go. The Bears made 7 of 8 free throws from there.

Kianna Smith had 14 points for Cal (18-9, 9-7 Pac-12), which made 10 of 12 free throws in the fourth quarter and outrebounded Stanford 46-28.

Brittany McPhee had 24 points and Smith 20 for the Cardinal (19-9, 13-3), who dropped a half-game behind league-leading Oregon.


YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (AP) - Jessica Lindstrom because the all-time double-double leader and Green Bay outscored Youngstown State 21-0 in the third quarter and coasted to a win.

Lindstrom finished with 21 points and 15 rebounds, her 36th double-double, as the Phoenix (23-3, 13-2 Horizon League) bounced back after having their 11-game winning streak snapped on Thursday. Lindstrom passed former All-American Julie Wojta for the school’s Division I record.

The Penguins (12-14, 8-7), who entered with a five-game winning streak, scored 14 points in each quarter except for the third, when they went 0 for 14 from the field with four turnovers.

Youngstown State was 9 of 30 from 3-point range and 5 of 22 inside the arc.

Green Bay never trailed and led by 10 after one quarter and 35-28 at the half. The Phoenix had a 47-26 rebounding advantage and 34-10 on points in the paint.


NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - Kylee Smith had 17 points and 11 rebounds, Darby Maggard had 14 points and 10 assists and Belmont won its 17th straight game over Morehead State.

Sally McCabe added 16 points and Jenny Roy had 11 rebounds to go with nine points as the Bruins (26-3, 16-0 Ohio Valley Conference) had a 51-29 rebounding advantage.

Belmont clinched the OVC title outright and has won 35 straight regular-season conference games and 41 straight against OVC opponents.

The Eagles (19-10, 10-6) had a 14-4 run in the second quarter to get within six but trailed by 11 at the half. They cut it to seven midway through the third, but a 12-2 Belmont run ended the threat.

Eriel McKee had 22 points for Morehead State.
