CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) - A West Virginia state police lieutenant has been confirmed as U.S. marshal for the Southern District of West Virginia.

U.S. Sen. Shelley Moore Capito says the Senate confirmed Michael T. Baylous for the post. He was nominated by President Donald Trump last year.
