MARSHFIELD, Mass. (AP) - Massachusetts police have arrested a 35-year-old man they say had loaded guns in his car and planned to kill two officers who had previously arrested him.

Authorities say they arrested Michael Rembisz, of Marshfield, on Wednesday, after getting a call from a relative concerned about his deteriorating mental state.

He’s scheduled to be arraigned Thursday on charges including threatening to commit a crime.

Chief Phil Tavares says police found a loaded rifle and a handgun in Rembisz’s car and two more rifles in his home. He was not licensed to have the guns. Tavares says he was angry after his arrest last Friday on drug and motor vehicle charges and planned to “hunt down and kill” the officers.

It could not be determined is he has a lawyer.
