DOVER, Del. (AP) - A report of an odor led the discovery of marijuana, steroids and multiple weapons in Delaware.

Dover police said in a release that officers followed a marijuana smell to an apartment, but couldn’t contact anyone inside on Saturday morning. They then encountered 26-year-old Benjamin Wilson, who inquired why they were there and then told them that apartment was vacant.

Officers ran the tags on his vehicle and discovered he lived in that unit. They later obtained his consent to search the apartment, and turned up a handgun, 4.4 grams of marijuana, drug paraphernalia and 3 milliliters of anabolic steroids. A second search turned up more weapons, paraphernalia and ammunition.

Wilson is charged with multiple offenses, and is out on bond. It’s unclear whether he has a lawyer.
