French film legend and ‘50s sex symbol Brigitte Bardot on Wednesday slammed sexual harassment accusers in Hollywood as attention-seeking hypocrites.

“The vast majority are being hypocritical and ridiculous,” the 83-year-old actress-turned-animal rights activist told the French magazine Paris Match, according to a translation by the Agence France Presse.

“Lots of actresses try to play the tease with producers to get a role. And then, so we will talk about them, they say they were harassed,” Ms. Bardot said.

“I was never the victim of sexual harassment,” she added. “And I found it charming when men told me that I was beautiful or I had a nice little backside.”

The “And God Created Woman” star’s comments came one week after fellow French actress Catherine Deneuve and 99 others sparked feminist backlash by signing an open letter saying the #MeToo movement had turned into a witch-hunt.
