HARTFORD, Vt. (AP) - A Vermont woman who police say sold drugs that led to a man’s overdose has been sentenced to curfew for the next six months.

The Valley News reports the only exceptions to 23-year-old Taylor Benjamin’s curfew include medical appointments, employment and 100 hours of community service.

Police say first responders gave a 19-year-old nine doses of the opioid reversal drug naloxone after he was found unconscious in his Bethel home in 2015. The man survived his overdose and told authorities he bought heroin from Benjamin.

Benjamin had pleaded guilty in August to a felony charge of dispensing heroin, misdemeanor drug possession and violating conditions of her release.

She said after her sentencing hearing Tuesday that she is doing well and she is putting her charges behind her.
