BOSTON (AP) - A Massachusetts State Police vessel has rescued a stranded boat on Boston Harbor.

Authorities say the boat was found run aground in over two feet of water on the back side of George’s Island on Monday morning.

A private marine towing vessel could not get close enough to help the boat.

Two troopers on Marine 44 were able to push the boat off the rocks and into six feet of water, where it could float freely.

The unidentified boat still required a tow to shore.
