MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) - Police in Tennessee say a man charged in the shooting death of his wife and another man has been taken into custody in Milwaukee.
Memphis police said in a tweet that Markese Gibbs was taken into custody by Milwaukee police on Sunday around 7 p.m. in connection with the Saturday shooting.
Investigators tell news outlets that the shooting resulted from an argument. Gibbs’ wife and the man were pronounced dead at the scene. Police say Gibbs initially fled the scene in a vehicle.
Gibbs was charged with two counts of first-degree murder. It’s unclear if he has a lawyer.
