A few hours before Tuesday’s parade near the National Mall, the Washington Capitals had a bit of business to take care of.

The team posed for their official Stanley Cup photo at Capital One Arena:

Although the Capitals have been seen and documented practically everywhere with the Cup since they won it last Thursday, Tuesday’s photo shoot served as the official moment for a team picture. Photographers working for the NHL were present to capture the shot.

Team captain Alex Ovechkin and alternate captains Brooks Orpik and Nicklas Backstrom are seated front and center with owner Ted Leonsis in the blue suit and head coach Barry Trotz to Leonsis’ left.

The trophy to the viewer’s left of the Stanley Cup is the Prince of Wales Trophy, which the Capitals earned for winning the Eastern Conference finals. The trophy to the right is Ovechkin’s Conn Smythe Trophy, given to the most valuable player of the Stanley Cup Playoffs.
