DECATUR, Ga. (AP) - Decatur police say they’ve arrested a man in connection with a possible road rage shooting that left a teenager dead.

Decatur Police early Saturday said they arrested 50-year-old Simmie R. Reed. Police said the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office Fugitive Unit took Reed without incident after investigators received an anonymous tip. He faces one count of murder, two counts of aggravated assault with intent to murder and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. It was unknown if he’s represented by an attorney.

News outlets report 17-year-old Janae Owens was in a car with two other people at a red light Wednesday evening when police said a man in a black car opened fire, hitting the car. Owens was killed.

Owens’ family apparently had just moved to Atlanta from Louisiana.
