BRADDOCK, Pa. (AP) - Authorities in western Pennsylvania say the shooting death of a man found in an apartment near Pittsburgh has been ruled a homicide.

The Allegheny County medical examiner’s office said Sunday that 21-year-old Leryal Matthews of Munhall died as a result of gunshot wounds to the trunk.

Authorities said the shooting happened shortly after 1 a.m. Wednesday at an apartment in Braddock. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

County homicide detectives are investigating and are asking anyone with information to call police. No arrests were immediately announced.
