BRIDGEPORT, Conn. (AP) - Police in Connecticut say they have made an arrested in connection to a murder case from over two decades ago.

The Connecticut Post reports 37-year-old Camillo Douglas of the Bronx, N.Y. was charged Tuesday for the 1997 Bridgeport shooting death of Richard “Red” Salito.

Salito, then 23, was found lying in a pool of blood on a sidewalk shot multiple times in the head.

Police discovered Douglas, a suspect in the case, was incarcerated in New York on unrelated charges.

His attorney did not immediately reply to request for comment.
