AURORA, Colo. (AP) - An investigation is underway after police shot and killed an attempted murder suspect in the Denver suburb of Aurora.

The Aurora Sentinel reports the man, whose name has not been released, was shot in a gas station parking lot following a police chase Friday afternoon. No officers were injured.

Officer Bill Hummel, a spokesman for the police department, says it’s not yet clear how many officers fired their weapons or how many shots they fired. A weapon was found at the scene, but police have not said if the man pulled it on officers.

The victim was wanted for a shooting that happened Thursday evening.

Friday’s fatal shooting is the second in three days involving Aurora police.
