LEXINGTON, S.C. (AP) - A man has been arrested and charged in a hit-and-run death involving a teen in South Carolina last week.

South Carolina Highway Patrol Lance Cpl. David Jones told news outlets that 33-year-old Kyle Andrew Roach was arrested Thursday after a tip about his van.

Roach is charged in the June 22 death of 19-year-old Tijhee Dijon Salley of Lexington.

The Highway Patrol says Salley was riding a bicycle in the Red Bank area of Lexington County when he was struck by a van. He was taken to a hospital where he died the next day.

Roach is charged with leaving the scene of an accident involving death. He’s being held in the Lexington County jail. It was not known if he has an attorney yet.
