Steve Nash, Jason Kidd, Grant Hill and Maurice Cheeks have been notified that they will be inducted into the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame in the Class of 2018, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.

Former University of Maryland head coach Charles “Lefty” Driesell, who won 786 games at four Division I schools and whose Terrapins won the 1972 National Invitational Tournament, will also be inducted in this class, according to a report.

Nash was the NBA’s MVP in 2005 and 2006 while leading the Phoenix Suns at point guard. Nash played 18 total seasons for the Suns, Dallas Mavericks and Los Angeles Lakers and has the ninth-best career 3-point field goal percentage of all time (.428). He averaged 14.3 points and 8.5 assists per game for his career.

Kidd, also a point guard, was a 10-time All-Star who spent seven years with the New Jersey Nets, eight with the Dallas Mavericks, five with Phoenix and one with the New York Knicks. He won an NBA Championship with Dallas in 2011. For his career, Kidd ranks second all-time in both assists (12,091) and steals (2,684), behind only John Stockton in both categories, and fifth all-time in minutes played (50,111).

Hill, a native of Reston, Virginia, was a seven-time All-Star in his 18 seasons with the Detroit Pistons, Suns, Orlando Magic and Los Angeles Clippers. He averaged 16.7 points per game over his career. And Cheeks won the NBA Championship in 1983 with the Philadelphia 76ers during his 16-year playing career, but is also known for coaching the 76ers, Portland Trail Blazers and Detroit Pistons in the 2000s and 2010s.

The Class of 2018’s enshrinement will take place on Sept. 7 at the Hall of Fame in Springfield, Massachusetts.
