Hillary Clinton signaled she might be up for a potential 2020 presidential run during a live discussion Friday night with journalist Kara Swisher.

After some brief hesitation, the twice-failed presidential candidate admitted that she still wants to be president and feels well prepared for the job.

“No,” the former secretary of state responded when asked if she “wanted” to run again. “Well, I’d like to be president. I think, hopefully when we have a Democrat in the Oval Office in January of 2021, there is going to be so much work to be done.

“The work would be work that I feel very well prepared for, having been in the Senate for eight years, having been a diplomat in the State Department,” she continued. “And it’s just going to be a lot of heavy lifting.”

Asked if she’s going to be the one doing the lifting, Mrs. Clinton responded, “I have no idea,” adding that she’s not going to think about running again until the midterm elections are over.

“I have no idea, Kara, but I’m going to — I am not even going to think about it until we get through this Nov. 6 election, about what’s going to happen after that,” she said. “But I’m going to do everything in my power to make sure we have a Democrat in the White House come January 2021.”
