BROOMFIELD, Colo. (AP) - A 41-year-old former Colorado police officer has pleaded guilty to misdemeanor charges for sexual contact with a woman in his patrol car after her release from a hospital.

The Adams County District Attorney’s Office says Curtis L. Arganbright pleaded guilty Tuesday to unlawful sexual contact and official misconduct.

The Denver Post reports that officials say Arganbright resigned from the Westminster Police Department in October 2017.

Authorities say that on Aug. 24, 2017, Arganbright was on duty and driving a woman who had been released from St. Anthony North Health Campus in Westminster when he stopped at about 1:30 a.m. and forced the woman to engage in sex acts.

The 36-year-old victim told investigators that Arganbright assaulted her on his car while she was handcuffed.
