Legendary actress Carole Cook cracked a joke Sunday night about the assassination of President Trump.

The 94-year-old Broadway, television and film star was leaving Craig’s restaurant in West Hollywood with her husband when TMZ asked her to comment on a recent incident when a Broadway actor snatched a “Trump 2020” banner from an audience member during the curtain call for “Frozen on Broadway.”

Mrs. Cook said she wasn’t aware of the incident but offered a few choice words of her own for the president.

“Where’s John Wilkes Booth when you need him?” Ms. Cook joked, referring to the actor who assassinated President Abraham Lincoln at Washington’s Ford’s Theatre in 1865.

“Now you’re going to ask me who the hell John Wilkes Booth is,” she teased the TMZ interviewer. “He killed presidents.”

Someone off camera then asked, “So we need to kill President Trump?”

“Why not?” the actress replied.

Ms. Cook appeared unfazed that her comment could get her in trouble.

“Will I be on an enemies list? My God, I hope so,” she joked. “Just keep me out of jail — or maybe not.”
