Actor Robert De Niro delivered yet another profane rant against President Trump at Samantha Bee’s “Not the White House Correspondents’ Dinner” over the weekend, blasting the president as an “unrepentant, lying scumbag.”

Mr. De Niro, a vehement Trump critic who has impersonated special counsel Robert Mueller on “Saturday Night Live,” spoke about his support for the First Amendment during the D.C. event that benefited the Committee to Protect Journalists.

“I’m happy to stand with Samantha Bee tonight to support the First Amendment — the right of the president to be a relentless and unrepentant, lying scumbag, the right of his supporters to not give a s–, and our right to do something about it,” the two-time Oscar winner told the crowd.

Mr. De Niro stressed the importance of the 2020 presidential election, using Mr. Trump’s famous catchphrase from his former hit television series “The Apprentice.”

“Impeachment or not, there will be an election, unless Mitch McConnell can figure out a way to stop that boat, too,” Mr. De Niro said. “When you’re casting your ballot, imagine looking into Trump’s eyes — you’ll find them just above those creepy white puffy pouches — and saying, ‘You’re fired.’

“Something will come over you, you’ll feel an exquisite release. And you won’t have to fake it,” he joked.

Ms. Bee’s counter-event aired on TBS Saturday night during the White House Correspondents’ Association dinner, which Mr. Trump has chosen to skip every year since he was elected.
