CAMPBELL HALL, N.Y. (AP) - Police say a man was killed when he lost control of a snowmobile and hit a tree in upstate New York.

State troopers say 34-year-old David White was found lying near the vehicle around 10:20 a.m. in Campbell Hall, about 50 miles northwest of New York City.

White was pronounced dead at the scene. Troopers say he wasn’t wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
