FALMOUTH, Maine (AP) - Authorities in Maine who have been searching for a missing woman for days turned up nothing with a sonar search of a portion of the Presumpscot River.
Thirty-seven-year-old Anneliese Heinig, of Richmond, was last seen early on Nov. 26 walking along Interstate 295 near where it crosses that river in Falmouth. A Wednesday search found no clues of where she might be.
The Portland Press Herald reports the Maine Marine Patrol plans to expand the search location over the coming several days. Heinig was reported missing when she didn’t show up to Thanksgiving dinner with family.
Anyone who traveled north on Interstate 295 between exits 9 and 10 early on Nov. 26 who might have seen Heinig are asked to call police at 207-781-2300.
