GREENVILLE, S.C. (AP) - A South Carolina logistics facility for a company behind jean brands Wrangler, Lee and Rock & Republic is expected to close, affecting more than 100 employees.

The Greenville News reports that VF Jeanswear Dedicated Logistics in Greenville is expected to close in April.

Julia Burge with VF Corp. says the move is the result of VF Corp. being split into two independent, publicly traded companies. A new company called Kontoor Brands Inc. is expected to split from VF Corp. It’ll be comprised of VF’s Jeanswear brands, which includes Wrangler, Lee and Rock & Republic.

In preparation for the move, the company has decided to “wind down” some operations that include the Greenville facility.

Burge says affected employees will be offered severance pay and outplacement services.
