A Vans store employee in Kansas was fired Sunday after a mother accused him of cursing at her son for wearing a “Make America Great Again” hat.

In a video that has since gone viral, an irate mother is seen asking the employee to repeat what he said to her Trump-supporting son before the camera started rolling.

“He did nothing to you,” the mom said. “What did you say to my son, to my 14-year-old?”

“I’m sure he’s heard it before,” the employee responded.

The mom then demanded to see a manager.

“My son walked into the store,” the mother is heard explaining to the manager. “That gentleman cursed and told him, ‘take off your hat.’ He said nothing to him, a 14-year-old child. Then he said, ‘F you’ to my son. My son said nothing to him. Did nothing.”

The incident happened at the Oak Park Mall in Overland Park, Kansas, The Daily Caller first reported.

Vans‘ corporate offices said in a statement that the employee had since been fired.

“Our focus is to provide the best customer service experience,” the company said. “We did let this employee go. He is no longer with our company. The actions and comments from this employee at the Oak Park location is in contrast with our values and beliefs.”

“We have taken care of the situation,” a Vans Corporate employee told The Daily Caller, reportedly adding that the employee “harassed a young male with a Trump hat.”
