Miley Cyrus revealed in a new interview that she’s waiting to have children until climate change is resolved.

The 26-year-old pop singer told Elle magazine that she and her new husband, actor Liam Hemsworth, aren’t having children until they’re comfortable knowing that they will “live on an earth with fish in the water.”

“Nature’s female. When she’s angry, don’t f—k with her,” Ms. Cyrus said. “That’s the way that I feel women are like right now. The earth is angry.

“We’ve been doing the same thing to the earth that we do to women,” she continued. “We just take and take and expect it to keep producing. And it’s exhausted. It can’t produce. We’re getting handed a piece-of-s—t planet, and I refuse to hand that down to my child. Until I feel like my kid would live on an earth with fish in the water, I’m not bringing in another person to deal with that.”

Ms. Cyrus said she’s experiencing the same dilemma as many millennials who “don’t want to reproduce because we know that the earth can’t handle it.”

Ms. Cyrus, the daughter of country singer Billy Ray Cyrus, is an outspoken liberal who supported Hillary Clinton’s failed 2016 presidential campaign.
