Liberal filmmaker Michael Moore warned Democrats that they have their work cut out for them in 2020, claiming that President Trump and his “insane base” are as fired up as ever.

The “Fahrenheit 11/9” creator made the comments after watching Mr. Trump’s big kickoff reelection campaign rally in Orlando.

“I watched the whole thing last night,” Mr. Moore tweeted to his more than 6 million followers. “I know no one wants to waste that kind of time even looking at him, but not wanting to see the enormity of the fight ahead doesn’t make it go away.

“He hasn’t lost one inch of his fired-up insane base,” he added. “Are u ready?”

Mr. Moore included a clip showing Mr. Trump speaking to a jam-packed crowd at Orlando’s Amway Center arena.

Mr. Moore, a fierce critic of the Trump administration with an enormous social media following, was one of the very few voices to correctly predict Mr. Trump’s 2016 election victory against Hillary Clinton.

He was widely mocked in July 2016 after he told late-night comedian Bill Maher that Mr. Trump was “gonna win” because of his ability to connect with middle America.
