LAS VEGAS (AP) - Authorities say a tree fire in front of the Gay & Lesbian Community Center of Southern Nevada was intentionally set, and security video showed a person sparking flames.

Las Vegas fire spokesman Tim Szymanski (zim-ANN’-skee) tells KSNV-TV that crews quickly doused the fire a little after 3 a.m. Thursday.

Officials say no one was injured, the building wasn’t damaged and the person on video wasn’t immediately identified.

Szymanski says center security officials showed the video to arson investigators.

Center executive John Waldron noted the fire was near a large banner hung above the entrance on Wednesday to mark the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall rebellion.

The 1969 clash between patrons and police of the Stonewall Inn in New York is considered a catalyst for the modern LGBTQ rights movement.
