INDIANAPOLIS (AP) - Authorities say man was wounded in the face in a shooting that happened while he was driving on Interstate 465 on the southeast side of Indianapolis.

Indiana State Police say investigators were searching for whoever fired at the man about 7:30 p.m. Saturday in the highway’s southbound lanes near I-74. Police say the man was taken to a hospital in stable condition and he’s expected to recover.

Police say the gunfire came from a car that pulled alongside the driver’s car. Two other people inside the car that was fired upon weren’t injured.
